Fête Music Hall Presents
This is a performance based series which includes a Jazz jam session. The house band will play a short set then open it up for musicians in the audience to come up and play. The goal is to create a diverse community of artist by using Jazz as a platform to engage creativity, communication skills, and the thought process, furthermore bring forth cultural awareness.

Leland Baker Quartet
Leland Baker is a New York City and RI based jazz saxophonist who grew up in Providence, RI. He has lived and spent time honing his craft in the city of New Orleans, LA and New England. While his short time in New York City, Leland has had the opportunity to play with Alicia Keys, and study and play with some of jazz’s titans including Lawrence Clark, Kahlil Bell and Roy Hargrove. He freelances as a musician, teaches music, and leads his own quartet by the name of The Free 5. Leland continues to pursue his vision as an artist in hopes to make a positive difference in the world by bring souls together and challenging the spectrum of superficial reality.
Early years: Leland attended Loyola University in New Orleans, LA where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in jazz studies. While in n New Orleans he grew, and honed his craft by receiving many performing opportunities. He performed and shared the bandstand with many jazz elites such as Delfeayo Marsalis big band, Sean Jones, John Ellis, Shannon Powell, and gospel elites such as Lyle Henderson and the Emmanuel’s, Al Green, and Yolonda Adams. In 2012 he went and attended the University of Rhode Island where he received a Master’s degree in music performance. Since then he has taught music throughout Rhode Island and NYC, and has performed throughout the greater New England and New York area.
