The Sidewheelers hail from Providence, Rhode Island, a.k.a. The Creative Capital, bringing an eclectic brand of post-modern blues rock that is sure to ignite the well of hidden meanings and stashed away feelings in the pit of your belly.
With a smart mix of pop sensibility and sing-along melodies, don't be surprised that you've finally found your new favorite band. Take solace in the fact that life moves in cycles, and appreciate this moment, because it is ultimately yours, to take with you in a corner of your mind, to play on repeat, quietly humming along, as you journey through this twisted world.
The band was born in 2009, the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist Guy Dalton and drummer Johnny Metcalf. The two proceeded to unleash a new style of blues-grunge, writing and recording hundreds of songs, playing gigs any chance they could. They eventually met Danny Delray, who was running an open mic at the time, and the three immediately hit it off.
The Sidewheelers music continued to grow and gain focus. Songs such as Kept U Waiting, and Lost the Girl in Providence, highlight the complex relationships our society has come to live by. What if we could choose our own fate, free of fear or peer pressure? It's an easy decision when you make it. The Sidewheelers are here to help you mull over these tough decisions and make the right choices, the ones that come from your heart, because, in the end, that is all that really matters.
No Man is a musical venture founded by local Rhode Island Singer/Songwriter Alex Coogan. Originally a short story turned graphic novel, No Man has evolved into a collection of war songs for the downtrodden living in the grey areas of life. The intent and mission of this "project," is to embrace everyone present with unadulterated acceptance, compassion, and empathy. Poor, Rich, Black, White, No Man shows are an event open to anyone with a set of ears and an open mind. A place where everyone and anyone is free to be themselves for a little while and let go. We invite you to come out and see what we have to offer, and we look forward to you seeing you at shows in the future. Until then, be well friends. - No Man
