Toad and The Stooligans

(facebook)

Hailing from Providence, RI and growing up in the nearby suburbs, Toad and the Stooligans is far from the typical hip hop group. Formed in early 2015, the high school friends joined together with the common goal of playing a different brand of hip hop. Heavily influenced by funk, jazz and a plethora of other genres, the Stooligans mesh multiple sounds together to create a canvas for their dual-vocal delivery.

The band self-released their debut full-length album “Very Handsome” in September 2017. They were winners of the 90.7 WXIN Battle of the Bands and look to be very active throughout the Northeast in 2018.

The Mushroom Cloud is an explosive funk-rock band from New Haven, CT with Paul Harris on guitar, keys, and vocals, Matt Cuddy on guitar, Charlie Mazur on bass, and Russ Harris on drums. Since they formed in 2011, The Cloud's been blending funk, rock, jazz, and electronica into cleverly written passages of music mixed with powerful improv jams. Their organic and original sound is constantly evolving, taking listeners on vibrant journeys in their heads and on the dance floor, and their unique energy resonates deep in the soul. With their second full length album "Air Raid" out now, things are just heating up for this bright young band! For tour dates and more go to www.themushroomcloudmusic.com.

Funkel

(facebook)

Hailing from south shore Massachusetts, Funkel is a band comprised of high school jam buddies, Nolan Driscoll, Clay Carro, Stephen Pruyn, and John Kunkel. Relying on their keen improvisational abilities, and instrumental wizardry, they combine elements of funk, fusion, psychedelia and world music into a healthy gumbo of jam rock. Recently coming back fresh from a four year long hiatus in which members took on other projects such as “Straight up” and “Mercury,” the guys are back in action. With the addition of Scott Lyman of “The background Orcs” on keys, their sound has truly evolved. Funkel is ready to once more to spread the good vibes across New England.
