Unleash the Archers
We call on you, metal warriors, to join us on this northern passage through the forsaken wastelands of our world. Take up your frozen steel, carry onward, and listen to the hail of the tide, for tonight we ride for glory. Unite! Test your metal on the flesh of those who would stand against us! There will be no crypt for you at battle’s end, for we live in an age with no more heroes than those that rally as one, side by side to face the dreamcrusher that awaits. Rise with your metal brethren! A million strong we are going down fighting… Bound by honour, bathed in glory, for victory we fly, until time stands still around us. Hail! \m/
In the frozen reaches of Canada, where the mountains meet the sea; a band of young men locked in steadfast tenacity have assembled to live out their worldly dreams. The dawn of 2014 has seen Crimson Shadows borne to international praise and repute by their unwavering delivery of boundary-crushing and genre-defying modern death and power metal.
‘Combining the fiercest elements of power and death metal with crushing guttural vocals, three-part vocal harmonies, seraphic guitar-work, formidable bass and miles of breakneck drumming; Crimson Shadows have unveiled a new breed of extreme metal both ironclad and spellbinding, leaving Crimson Shadows sights set for the stratosphere!’
Having appeared at the world stage of Wacken Open Air in Germany mid-2013, the band triumphantly laid claim to the title of International Wacken Battle Champions. After touring their native Canada coast to coast, Crimson Shadows are ready to take the world by the throat and deliver their brand of heroic metal that only the ice-clad lands of Canada can forge!
Sonic Pulse is the fastest, heaviest-hitting power-thrash metal band to come out of New England. Screaming party-oriented lyrics keep the mood as upbeat as the shredding tempos and ripping guitar solos - and with an energetic stage show to match, this band delivers an aural assault unparalleled by any would-be competitors on the scene.
Theatrical metal storytellers Seven Spires have just hit the studio to begin recording their first full-length record! Drawing from all flavors across the spectrum of metal, their signature blend of melody, theatrics, limit-pushing and high caliber musicianship is tastefully dark and bittersweet; chaotic at times and comforting at others.
All members are Berklee College of Music students. Vocalist Adrienne found herself in Boston after winning a full academic scholarship sponsored by Lolapalooza music festival. She employs a combination of her strict operatic/classical training and self-taught extreme vocal techniques to “deliver every bit of recorded promise live”.
Guitarist Jack Kosto has been a student of neoclassical legend Joe Stump (Holy Hell, Ravenlord, Exorcism) at Berklee since he was accepted at the age of 15, and was originally inspired to learn the art of shred after seeing mentor Michael Angelo Batio (Nitro, Holland) play his hometown.
Bassist Peter de Reyna won a scholarship to attend Berklee beginning fall 2015. He has gigged professionally as a jazz and metal bassist on both electric and upright bass since the age of 16. Pete cites Iron Maiden as his primary influence and draws inspiration from Obscura, Candlemass, Necrophagist, Revocation and Marcus Miller.
Summer 2015 has proven to be a big one for our live drummer Chris Dovas. As a newly minted 17 year old, he won the 2015 Blue Man Group Boston Drum Off competition as well as attended Berklee's renowned Five-Week Performance Program. Chris has been playing drums since he was six and gigging since he was 11. He plays all styles including metal, rock, pop, funk, fusion, jazz, blues, and Latin. His influences include Tommy Aldridge, Matt Garstka, Mike Portnoy, Mike Mangini, Dave Lombardo, and Vinnie Colaiuta.
Seven Spires stand for all that is deliciously over-the-top and emotionally moving, and aim to provide you with a decadent journey away from the drag of everyday life.
