The Morgana Phase

The Morgana Phase have a story to tell. One that weaves distant images of a foreign universe with high-stakes conflicts, supernatural abilities, romance, deceit and coming of age. The five piece progressive alternative rock group began this journey with their debut album “I: Godspeed Into the Fire” and have now delved much further into this science fiction adventure saga with the follow up full-length “II: The Eyes of Time”.

The band uses lyrical, melodic and rhythmic themes to tell these tales, drawing musical influence from artists such as Coheed & Cambria, The Dear Hunter, Circa Survive and Protest the Hero, but creating a soundscape that is distinctly their own. This unique sound paired with a high energy live performance has propelled the band to headlining their own shows in their hometown of Providence, RI, as well as sharing the stage with national acts such as Polyphia, Tilian of Dance Gavin Dance, A Lot Like Birds, I the Mighty, Tides of Man and many more.

“II: The Eyes of Time” finds the group focusing on creating a cohesive narrative, flowing from song to song seamlessly over the course of an hour long epic that somehow never drags or lacks intrigue. From the call to arms choruses of lead single “Keep Dreaming” to the hypnotic delay laden guitar melodies of closer “Life Like a Memory”, the group explores a multitude of genres and dynamics, and are not afraid to ebb and flow between these varying canvases to display their own take on progressive music.

“II: The Eyes of Time” is available Friday June 21, 2019 on all streaming services, as well as in a limited edition art book format, which includes a physical CD and art influenced by the storyline created by Taylor Gallant.

____________

Professor Caffeine & The Insecurities

(facebook)

Once upon a time (er, the year 2014) in the mythical land of the South Shore, a bunch of nerds who could play instruments got drunk together and decided to start a band. Calling on cumulative influences ranging from the 2000's emo & post-hardcore scenes to classic 70's progressive rock, the music began to take shape. Two years, *soon to be* two records, and thousands of beers later Professor Caffeine & the Insecurities is continuing to tear up the whatever-you-wanna-call-it scene in Boston with a signature combination of erratic progressive hardcore and post-emo singalong worthy rock and roll.
